The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising motorists and members of the general public of traffic restrictions along Campo Street, Santa Cruz. This is in order to facilitate sewer pipeline installation works.
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and to obey the instructions of the Traffic Control Officers on duty in the vicinity of the job-site, or use an alternative route where possible. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising the public that it will be conducting emergency excavation and repair works along Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, over this weekend.
As a result, there will be an interruption in the flow of traffic along the Eastbound lane (in the vicinity of SWWTU and the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services) from Friday night (22nd March, 2024) at 9:00 PM to Saturday night (23rd March, 2024) at Midnight. T&TEC said these works are necessary to repair a fault on its 33,000 volts underground cable and improve the security of the sub-transmission system. The Commission apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these repair works and urges motorists to proceed with caution and to follow the instructions of the Police on-site. “We thank all affected residents, businesses, motorists and the general public for their co-operation.” Please be guided accordingly. The Ministry of Works and Transport is advising the public that there will be a temporary road closure along Papourie Road, between Estate Road (lower Barrackpore Recreation Grounds) and Cemetery Street, Barrackpore. These works will commence on Friday (15th March, 2024) and are expected to be completed on Sunday (17th March, 2024). This has become necessary to facilitate bridge reconstruction works.

The Traffic Management Branch (TMB) recently installed intersection markings and crosswalks at Library Corner in San Fernando. These road markings were undertaken from Library Corner up to Grant School and were installed at nearby taxi stands and the school drop-off zone.
According to the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) on Tuesday (12th March, 2024), “Road markings are an important element of road safety as they are essential for guiding and controlling traffic. Not only are they a clear indicator of regulations alongside road signs and other traffic control measures, but they can also help to save lives and minimize accidents.”

UPDATE (27/02/24): Works have begun on the Access Road (opposite Grace Street, Chaguanas) to enter onto the Southbound lanes of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway (Chaguanas to Chase Village). To ensure minimal disruption, commuters heading South today (Tuesday 27th February, 2024) from the Chaguanas area, must utilize the alternative route as outlined below.
