Coop’s Drive Thru Car Wash reached out to us recently to let us know they will be opening their new location in El Socorro on Friday 24th January 2020. Coop’s currently offer their car wash services at two (2) locations in Chaguanas: Chuck E. Cheese’s Car Park in Brentwood and at the Divali Nagar Car Park. The new location in El Socorro will be their largest yet and will provide sustainable employment for over 25 persons. Coop’s goal is to revolutionize car care. This is what Coop’s told us about about their mission and services: Picture this...the busy career and soccer mom of two beautiful children. She spends her days working and looking after the family. Then she takes a look at the family vehicle, the vehicle that takes everyone to and from their destination everyday and wonders if it's worth taking the time to clean it herself. Time that could have been spent creating moments with her family. Check out Coop’s Facebook Page for more information or contact them at 684-2667.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has indicated that there is now evidence that T&T and the region has transitioned to a drier state, which means we are officially in the Dry Season. The Met Office expects February and March 2020 to be the driest months. There may also be a few short Hot Spells between March to May.
According to the Met Office: A number of climatic features that are used to indicate the onset of the Dry Season is present. These include a strengthened North Atlantic Sub-Tropical High-pressure system of great vertical depth located further east; a strengthening trade wind inversion-a stable layer which inhibits the vertical growth of rain clouds; along with the prevalence of relative strong low-level north-easterly trade-winds and upper-level westerly winds over the region. Together, these features have a stabilizing effect.
A near normal Dry Season is forecast, with near average rainfall totals during January through March. Slightly wetter than average conditions are expected for April through May. According to the Met Office, 2019 was the third driest year on record since 1946 when observations first began at Piarco. Meanwhile, the 2019 Wet Season didn’t turn out to be so wet - it was the ninth driest on record.
See the Media Release below from the Met Office for further information about the 2020 Dry Season.
In a passionate speech at a London Charity Event on Sunday 19th January 2020, Prince Harry spoke publicly about recent events for the first time, telling guests: “I want you to hear the truth from me, as much as I can share – not as a Prince, or a Duke, but as Harry.”
Earlier this month, the couple shocked the world by announcing they would step back from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family and split their time between the United Kingdom and North America. They also want to work toward becoming financially independent. See part of Prince Harry’s speech below as well as a full transcript of everything he said.

UPDATE (15/01/20 - 11am): Latest statement from the Met Office:
Partly cloudy/cloudy conditions with showers over T&T this morning. These showers are expected to continue intermittently throughout the day and into tonight. Remember, windy conditions are still present and gusts can be experienced at times, particularly near showers.
UPDATE (15/01/20 - 10am): As forecast, heavier showers are materializing across T&T today, moving to the Northwest. Through the late morning into the afternoon, intermittent showers are forecast across both islands, while possible Thunderstorms are forecast across Trinidad. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service, a gradual increase in showers is likely as the week progresses with heavier showers forecast for Wednesday 15th January 2020.
Moisture and low-level convergence are expected to increase as the week progresses, which will likely result in a gradual increase in cloudiness and showery activity. A low-level trough is also expected on Wednesday, which will increase the likelihood for heavier showers. Thunderstorms are unlikely at this time, but keep updated with our forecasts as we move closer to Wednesday.
Gusty winds will continue to be a factor and the Hazardous Seas Alert will also remain in effect.
