A day after the hard slap was heard and seen around the world, Will Smith has apologized directly to Chris Rock via an Instagram post, saying slapping Chris was “unacceptable and inexcusable.” Will did not apologize to Chris on Sunday night (27th March 2022) during his Best Actor acceptance speech. However, the famous actor is now acknowledging that, “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive.” His apology comes hours after The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said it has launched a formal review following Will’s shocking assault on Chris during the Oscars ceremony on Sunday night.
