Queen Elizabeth II's funeral today (Monday 19th September 2022) will bring together around 500 hundred Heads of State, Royals and other political luminaries in London. The monarch will be laid to rest in a State funeral at Westminster Abbey in London and the somber ceremony will draw some of the world's most powerful players. The Queen peacefully died at age ninety-six (96) on 8th September 2022. From the Commonwealth, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Jamaican Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen have all said they will attend the funeral. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will represent the United States, which shares a special relationship with the U.K. Newly-elected British Prime Minister Liz Truss will of course also mourn the monarch. President Emmanuel Macron of France, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany, President Sergio Mattarella of Italy and President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission will also be there.
