The Water and Sewage Authority (WASA) is advising citizens that “Water Use Restrictions” for the Dry Season will be in effect from Midnight on Monday 28th January 2019 - until further notice.
Restrictions during this period of water conservation include: the use of Water Hoses and any similar apparatus for the purpose of, among other things, watering private gardens and/or washing motor vehicles. Also restricted, will be the use of Sprinklers, Pressure Washers, decorative Fountains, Waterfalls and other outdoor artistic features that utilizes water.
WASA has also warned there will be increased patrols in various areas and any person found breaking the law will be liable for a Fine ($75) upon summary conviction. They have the right to enter your property at any reasonable hour to check if water is being wasted or misused - once they provide authenticated documents.
