A warrant has been issued for a Sangre Grande couple who is believed to be the owners of a rifle and a quantity of ammunition and drugs which were seized yesterday (Tuesday 23rd February 2021). According to a Media Release by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a search was conducted yesterday at a House in North Oropouche by Detectives attached to the Eastern Division Special Operations Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department. During the search, the Officers discovered a modified black and silver rifle, 189 rounds of assorted ammunition, three (3) 12-gauge cartridges, 164 packets of marijuana with a weight of 134 Kilogrammes, and ten (10) packets of cocaine weighing 10 Kilogrammes. The couple, of Leemond Village, Fishing Pond, Sangre Grande, are expected to be arrested today. PC Singh is leading investigations. This is a developing story - refresh this page for updates.
