According to reports, around 9pm on Saturday night (18th June 2022), WPC Hamilton and WPC Rajkumar of the Mon Repos CID were on mobile patrol when they spotted the vehicle belonging to missing 31-year-old Sanjay “Naren” Deodath. The vehicle, a white Isuzu truck (TDX 6388), was found abandoned next to two (2) dwelling houses at Stuart Street, Cocoyea, San Fernando — in the vicinity of the Pleasantville Secondary School. Upon investigation, apparent blood stains were seen inside the vehicle. The missing man has not been found. The truck was later removed by Rishi's Wrecking Service to the Mon Repos Police Station. It was then taken to the Special Evidentiary Unit in Cumuto for processing. Deodath was last seen alive on Tuesday 14th June 2022. He left his home at Douglas Trace in St. Mary's Village, wearing a black T-shirt, short blue jeans, and a pair of black Nike slippers. He told a female relative around 8pm that he was going to collect money from someone who was owing him. He got into his white truck and drove off. His vehicle was spotted being followed by a Nissan Almera motor car along Saunders Road, St. Mary's, later that night. Multiple searches have been conducted for him by several NGOs and members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team.
A $20,000 reward has been offered by Deodath’s family for his safe return. This is a developing story - refresh this page for updates. [Source: Ian Alleyne] We are a small operation.
