Following heavy backlash about her husband's behavior on Carnival Tuesday, Nicki Minaj is promising she will be "whining" on who she wants the next time she's here for Carnival and suggests her husband should wait on another truck. Nicki's husband, Kenneth Petty, was seen pushing away the hand of Iwer George when he got too close to Nicki while they were all on top of a truck on Carnival Tuesday. Iwer was apparently trying to get Nicki to move some more during his performance, but her husband was not having it and went into full "bodyguard" mode. Trinis have since created memes about the incident and have been roasting her husband on social media and threatening him about physically disrespecting Iwer George. For her part, Nicki has apologised on behalf of her husband, stating that he doesn't understand anything about Trini culture and he has never been to a Carnival before. She also admitted that she should of let him know what to expect beforehand. She also suggested that her husband is unfazed by the entire controversy. Below are just some of the many negative comments that were left on her recent Instagram posts during Carnival. There were so many on one particular post (a video of her telling Trini fans that she loves them), that Nicki ended up turning off the comments section.
