The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) for a total of twenty (20) hours. The Alert begins at 6pm this evening (Tuesday 30th November 2021) and will remain in effect until 2pm on Wednesday (1st December 2021).
According to the Met Office, there is a high (70%) chance of brisk isolated heavy showers/Thunderstorms with accompanying gusty winds in excess of 55 Km/hr. These wind gusts will be brief but are capable of breaking tree branches, displacing unsecured roofs and loose outdoor objects, and can even topple-over unhealthy trees. Street Flooding is also likely in heavy downpours and seas can become additionally agitated in strong winds. Citizens are advised to monitor weather conditions and updates from official sources.
