The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued another Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) - this time for 8 hours from 4am to 12pm on Saturday 17th August 2019. Tropical Wave 36 is approaching the region overnight, dragging the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) Northward yet again.
Showers and Thunderstorms are likely to occur after nightfall tonight (Friday) and after the end of the Adverse Weather Alert on Saturday as the ITCZ remains across T&T. Street or Flash Flooding and Landslips may occur in areas that are susceptible and it is also likely for winds to gust in excess of 55 Km/hr.
