Following the passage of Tropical Storm Karen on Sunday 22nd September 2019, the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has now reduced its Adverse Weather Alert from Orange Level to Yellow Level, which expires at 8pm tonight (Monday 23rd September 2019).
According to the Met Office, there is a medium (60%) chance of heavy showers/Thunderstorms today, which can result in Street/Flash Flooding. Land surfaces are still relatively saturated which increases the likelihood of flooding as well as Landslides/Landslips in areas so prone. Gusts in excess of 55 Km/h are also possible near heavy showers and Thunderstorms. River levels are also relatively high and are being monitored.
