A Longdenville man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly stole approximately $7,800 worth of car parts. Anthony Mahabir, 51, of Longdenville Old Road, Longdenville, was arrested and charged by PC Nurse of the Longdenville Police Post for the offence of larceny. He is scheduled to appear in Court on 31st March 2021.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), on 27th March 2021, a report was made to the Longdenville Police Post regarding the theft of two (2) car batteries, a pair of rims, two (2) cylinder heads, one (1) racing intake manifold, and a socket set, from a garage at Longdenville Old Road, Longdenville. A team of Officers from the Longdenville Police Post, supervised by Insp. Jaggernauth and including Sgt Harriot and PC Nurse, carried out the investigations leading to the arrest of Mahabir.
