Christopher Figuera and his wife, Nicole, stopped off at the side of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Trincity on Sunday (21st June 2020) to collect soil for their garden when the 22-year-old driver of a Nissan Primera lost control and crashed into the couple. Both suffered serious injuries to their legs and chests. Nicole died on the spot while Christopher was rushed to Hospital.
Reports indicate that Christopher died on Wednesday morning (24th June 2020) while being treated for his injuries at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. The road fatality toll for the year is 52 in Trinidad and Tobago. [Source] We are a small operation.
