UPDATE: Police said Minister Deyalsingh was turning West from Abattoir Road onto the Beetham Highway in his white Nissan X-Trail at around 10am when a car collided with his, damaging the front and back doors on the right side of Deyalsingh's vehicle. The front side of the other driver's car was also damaged (see video below).
In a Media Release issued by the Ministry of Health shortly before 3pm this afternoon (Thursday 20th January 2022), Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh confirmed he was involved in a traffic accident this morning at approximately 10am. The accident took place at the traffic lights near to the Port-of-Spain Central Market.
According to the statement, no one was hurt and a report was made at the Besson Street Police Station. Both parties co-operated fully with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
The Minister thanked all for their concern.
