A Felicity man, who threatened a Police Officer, was jailed for twelve (12) months’ hard labour when he appeared virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate on 11th June 2021.
Nigel Codrington, 33, of Union Village, Felicity, was also charged with breach of curfew, obscene language, and resisting arrest following an incident involving a Police Officer attached to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) at 9:10pm on 9th June 2021 at Roopsingh Road, Carapichaima, where the accused was found to be breaching curfew. Codrington pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to one-day simple imprisonment for using obscene language, three (3) months’ hard labour for breach of curfew and twelve (12) months’ hard labour for both resisting and threatening a Police Officer.
