Kendall Grant, alias ‘Hundred’ was arrested on Sunday (26th September 2021) in relation to a string of robberies that took place in the Central Division in August and earlier this month. He appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate today (Thursday 30th September 2021).
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), after extensive investigations, the 37-year-old Enterprise man was charged yesterday (Wednesday 29th September 2021) with the following offences:
The TTPS states that on 16th August 2021, a Manager at a restaurant located on Rodney Road, Endeavour, secured the premises before leaving the establishment around 6:30pm. He returned around 8:30am on 18th August 2021 and observed that the restaurant had allegedly been burglarized. After checking, ten (10) bottles of assorted alcoholic beverages valued at $3,000, three (3) electronic tablets valued at $7,400, and $8,200 in cash were allegedly discovered missing.
In the second incident, the owner of a restaurant located on Southern Main Road, Couva, returned to the premises on 13th September 2021, and allegedly discovered several items missing. He reported last seeing the following items on 1st September 2021:
In the third incident, a Security Officer working at a gym located on Rodney Road, Endeavour, secured the building around 7pm on 16th September 2021. He returned around 6am the following day and allegedly observed a door on the Eastern side of the building open. Checks revealed $4,500 in cash along with 200 envelopes were allegedly missing.
Investigations into all three (3) incidents were conducted by the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and led to the arrest of the suspect. One (1) Pentair water pump, one (1) Pentax water pump, and an A.O. Smith pressure tank were also recovered.
