A Chaguanas man was remanded into custody when he appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate charged with cultivation of marijuana. Nazim Mohammed, 41, of Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas, was charged with the offence when he appeared in the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday 6th April 2021.
The matter was adjourned to 4th May 2021. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the accused was arrested by Officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), Area North, during an anti-crime exercise conducted around 3pm on Monday 5th April 2021. During the exercise, Officers executed a search warrant at the home of the accused, which resulted in several marijuana trees and seedlings being reportedly discovered in a room on the ground floor of the premises. Mohammed was arrested and the marijuana seized. He was charged on Monday 5th April 2021 by Officers of the CDTF. We are a small operation.
