Now I hope we could get something going. We want to get the place fix. The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) said on Monday (27th September 2021) it is closely monitoring the Atlantic where Hurricane Sam (Category 3) is churning the ocean just East of the Lesser Antilles. Sam is expected to continue to move Northwestward but steer away from any direct path to the island chain. The Met Office said, however, an even “sharper eye” is being kept on two (2) systems near the Central Eastern and far Eastern Atlantic. These systems show potential for increasing development over the next five (5) days and will be continued to be closely monitored as they track in a Westward fashion. The Met Office noted that the normal TTMS protocol is that once a system of interest has reached 40W, the TTMS will issue an official statement on the system, but its Hurricane Monitor is “in action all the time.” This is a developing story - refresh this page for updates.

Kiss said in its Media Release, which was issued by General Manager, Rene deGannes, “Kiss Baking Company Limited recognizes that our country is facing enormous economic challenges. Unfortunately, we are facing unprecedented increases in our input costs. Raw material prices have escalated by as much as 30% in some instances. We have also seen increases in shipping costs as a result of continued strains placed on supply chains throughout the world due to COVID-19 lockdowns.” The company further added, “We have performed an in-depth examination of our internal processes in order to implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service, and to minimize the impact of rising costs on our customers. While we have been able to maintain the prices of our core bread products such as sandwich loaves, butter bread and hops, unfortunately we are forced to increase the price on a few others.” Below are the products for which prices have been increased:
