UPDATE (28/06/19): A landslide has occurred along the Toco Main Road, near Toco, rendering the roadway temporarily impassible as inclement weather continues across Trinidad and Tobago (via @TTWeatherCenter).
Ahead of an expected Tropical Wave on Friday 28th June 2019, the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has now issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level). The Alert has been issued for six (6) hours, between 11am to 5pm.
According to the Met Office, showers and Thunderstorms are expected to be accompanied at times by gusty winds in excess of 50km/hr between 11am to 5pm. These strong winds can result in choppy seas and may negatively impact poorly secured roof structures. Street Flooding may occur in heavy downpours. The most significant activity is expected within the given time-frame above, however showers and isolated Thunderstorms are likely to occur from early morning.
