The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) for sixteen (16) hours on Sunday (29th August 2021), beginning from 2am and ending at 6pm. According to the Met Office, there is a high chance (70%) that Thunderstorm activity and heavy showers are expected from the early morning hours of Sunday, to affect various parts of Trinidad and to a lesser extent, Tobago, as well as surrounding marine areas. Cloudy conditions, scattered showers and periods of rain are expected to persist during the morning and into the early afternoon. Street flooding, localized flooding, landslips, gusty winds in excess of 45 Km/hr and choppy seas are likely in areas under heavy showers or Thunderstorms.
